Stay encourage, you are doing the correct thing (by God's standards.) If your parent has someone(s) knocking on the door abusing and disrespecting every day, then you have been given the divine assignment "to fight" (fight meaning to not combat but to contend in one's personal journey-race holding onto and withstanding personal disciplined discipleship in Christ in the midst of the conflict with Satan's kingdom-agenda. DEFENDING YOUR PARENT IS A PLATFORM FOR YOU TO HOLD ONTO AND WITHSTAND YOUR RACE CALLED - DISCIPLINED PERSONAL DISCIPLESHIP IN CHRIST.) If you are tired of fighting, remember that the fruit and value within your parent being defended, the fruit and value within absusers learning to stop abusing and disrespecting, and the fruit and value within you running your race of personal discipleship of Christ, outweighs the fatigue and consequences that goes along with fighting and defending. Would you rather not protect your parent, allow your parent to be disrespected, and not run your race of disciplined personal discipleship of Christ, or allow your parent to not be disrespected, and run your race of personal disciplined discipleship of Christ? I hope you choose the latter.

It's part of you working out your salvation with fear and trembling. Not everyone abuses and disrespects your parent every day (here, the parent being the one true God) meaning it's not in the divine plan for everyone to fight and defend so much in their personal discipleship of Christ. However, for those whose love to abuse and love to disrespect your parent every day, "you are the one" divinely purposed to fight so much so your parent can be defended and it is part of your race called "your personal discipleship of Christ". It's on your personal cross and view it as your "medal of honor" because someone(s) is always going to continuously disrespect and abuse your parent, and your parent (here being God) needs someone(s) built to fight and defend. Not everyone is built for the assignment, but you are built for the assignment. Not everyone's personal race is the same race, but it's your race. That's why you are the one that always happens to be around those who disrespect and abuse God. Your parent needs somebody(s) to stand up which defends the parent (here being the one true God) being used as a platform for personal of discipleship in Christ. Remember, spiritual thing are spiritually taught. Carnal thinking says "don't fight" but spiritual thinking knows "that a good fight (of faith) is about being personally concentrated and disciplined running the race of personal discipleship of Christ while simultaneously defending the principles of God and ministering to the poor in spirit" ~ Author Charles L. Robinson Jr.
