The one not in Christ has immense value, however, in today's devotion let's briefly look at the ninety-nine in Christ. Being anchored in Christ (the ninety-nine) stretches the kingdom by stabilizing retention (maintaining existing believers) through kingdom growth (as the kingdom gains new believers.) Therefore, keep in mind that existing stability (and developing stability) in Christ has great comprehensive value to the kingdom. How? Existing (and developing) stability in Christ helps keep personal rootings in Christ, helps stabilize opportunities to share Christ to others (by presenting less concern to the kingdom regarding not losing existing believers while attempting to gain new believers), and retains overall growth while actually gaining new believers. This happens in the shadows of those in Christ (the ninety-nine) amongst those not in Christ hoping to come to Christ (the one.) May the sweet communion of the Holy Spirit rest, rule, and abide in your lives.
"How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doeth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth in the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray?" Matthew 18:12
