This upcoming week's devotion is a spiritual planting of mindfulness that "there's still treasures in the process". This is not condemning convenience or expediency because convenience and expediency are divine (of God) attributes. However, this message is a focus on when convenience and expediency is appropriate and when more self-effort (not as convenient) and slow (not as expedient) is appropriate. An emphasis on self-effort and slow (not as convenient) in it's divine seasons protecting treasures not being missed due to poor timing of convenience and expediency. Why? Because it's in "the process" where there can be just as much divine joy, lessons learned, and results besides divine joy, lessons learned, and results discovered after "the process" (If only discovered after the process, there's so much missed in the process.) In other words, it's great to hear the testimony of someone else to help another overcome but it's undeniable that it's really something special for one to have his or her own testimony from going through their personal process. It's a blessing to get a word (revelation) from someone else through their personal prayers but it's undeniable that it's unique for one to hear a word from God him or herself through the tarrying process of their personal prayer. It's a beautiful thing to see an athlete execute but it's undeniable that a level of appreciation is added to the execution when one understands the process that develops the execution. Again, not condemning convenience and expediency but please pray for discernment because baby there's somethings that divinely exist and are to be received in "the process" which at times requires more self-effort and slow and not as convenient and expedient. It's relevant, who can deny that we live in a world-wide culture that that's shifting more and more to convenience and expediency. Again, with that being said, convenience and expediency can be in the will of God.
The Apostle Paul found steadfast divine sustenance (a treasure) in the slow and not as convenient (in the process.) Joseph and Mary discovered greater depths of divine love (a treasure) in the not as convenient and slow. It took time for them (a process) as parent of Jesus to understand that their son (Jesus) was divine love exemplified through the service of love (a treasure.) Solomon humility and gratefulness (treasures) was rooted in the slow and not as convenient (in the process.) It was in his timeless contemplations and reflections that guided him to genuine humility and gratefulness.
You and your families have a beautiful upcoming week and please share this devotion with others for their mindfulness that somethings that are convenient and expedient can be in the will of God in this world-wide shift of convenience and expediency but it undeniable that "there's still treasures in the process". Love you all in Christ!
