ECP Family and whoever else read this, we will continue our fuller scaled weekly devotion next week, however, there is something really quick I would like to share with you for your encouraged contemplation this week that the Spirit of God has been dealing with me personally on this week regarding my personal walk with Christ.
As a follower of Christ surrounded by many places and people that resist Christ ways, how willing is the follower of Christ to stand up for and communicate Christ ways knowing the potential un-peace and potential unfavorable consequences that sometimes go with standing up for and communicating Christ ways (specifically, un-peace and potential unfavorable consequences identified here because of how un-peace and potential unfavorable consequences challenge willingness to stand up for and communicate Christ ways. Whereas, peace and favorable consequences makes it easier to stand up for and communicate Christ ways.) Respectfully, all people and places have the free will choice to resist Christ ways but keep in mind that does not void the free will choice for Christ ways to be stood up for and communicated through people in places. The potential un-peace and potential unfavorable consequences for standing up for Christ ways is a platform that God can use to identify levels of awareness of what it sometimes takes to follow Christ for good change, levels of acceptance of what it sometimes takes to follow Christ for good change, and levels of willingness of what it sometimes takes to follow Christ for good change. It goes with good change!
You and your families have a beautiful week, please share this with others for their soberminded enlightenments-encouragements, and below are some scriptures for your meditations. God speed!
"Then Jesus said to his disciples, Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it" Matthew 16:24-25
"When Jesus saw the crowd around him, he gave orders to cross to the other side of the lake. Then a teacher of the law came to him and said "Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go." Jesus replied, "Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head." Another disciple said to him, "Lord, first let me go and bury my father." But Jesus told him, "Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead." Matthew 8:18-22
"From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been subjected to violence, and the violent people have been raiding it. For all the Prophets and the Law prophesied until John. And if you are willing to accept it, he is the Elijah who has come. Whoever has ears, let them hear. To what can I compare this generation? They are like children sitting in the marketplaces and calling out to others: "We played the pipe for you, and you did not dance; we sang a dirge, and you did not mourn. For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say "He has a demon". The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say "here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners. But wisdom is proved right by her deeds. Matthew 11:12-18
