Hello, My ECP family and whoever else finds this message. Everyone most likely has experienced a particular circumstance in their life whereby something seemed far-fetched or unrealistic. However, in time, that same something proved that it was not so far-fetched or unrealistic. Today's quick biblical thought (for some) is far-fetched, too way out there, or unrealistic but in time it (today's biblical thought) will show that it is not so far-fetched or unrealistic just as the "something" previously experienced in your life has already proven to you that it was not so far-fetched or unrealistic.

The biblical thought today for your contemplation is "hearing from God". For some, hearing from God is far-fetched, too way out there, or unrealistic. In his (God's) presence, he (God) does communicate to you with an expectation for you to believe that you have the ability to hear him. He (God) knows that some will not hear him but that does not mean he (God) doesn't expect you to not hear him because he has graced you with the ability to hear him. Please, don't think that hearing from God is far-fetched, unrealistic, or too way out there. It's a process in your faith walk spending time with God. It simply takes time to develop an ear to hear him-God (and greater hearing him and even seeing him in circumstances.) The focus here (in this message) is first and foremost "expect" to hear him-God (even before actually hearing him-God.) Why expectation? Because un-expectation is the same as unbelief and if you don't first and foremost believe that you can or will hear from him-God then that tremendously hinders you hearing him-God (hinders accepting that it is him-God.) Therefore, live accepting and expecting to gradually (over time) to greater sup with the grace given unto you regarding the ability to hear him-God. Just as normal-common you "expect" to hear your family members, friends, co-workers - etc., the same normal-common you should "expect" to hear God. You and your family have a wonderful day. "For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God" Romans 8:14 (When God expects you to follow him through his Spirit, God expects your ability to acknowledge him - hear/see him.)

"I am the vine, you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing" John 15: 5 (As God works through you in your personal relationship with Christ Jesus, he-God communicates to you. Your acknowledgement and gratitude that he-God works through you represents God's expectation and your response represents hearing from him-God.)

"So Eli told Samuel, 'Go and lie down, and if he calls you, say 'Speak Lord, for your servant is listening'. So Samuel went and lay down in his place. The Lord came there and stood there, calling as at the other times, 'Samuel, Samuel'. 1 Samuel 3: 9-10 (Even when Samuel didn't acknowledge God calling him, God still expected for Samuel to have the ability to hear him-God. In time, Samuel heard God.)
