8/5/26 "Just Checking In" From (Originated by) Charles L. Robinson Jr.
Hello, My ECP family and whoever else finds this message. Our mid-week thought:
When your work for God is misunderstood and/or resisted by others, focus on your response to their misunderstanding and/or resistance to be perceived as you genuinely comfortable with their misunderstanding and/or resistance. In doing so, those who misunderstand and/or resist have a greater opportunity to see God in your work by you not resisting to their resistance. Now, there's no promise that they will accept or stop resisting your work for God but what have you accomplished? You have given them one of their greatest chances to open their hearts and minds to actually see God in your calling (in your work for God) by not resisting to their resistance.
Jesus didn't resist Pilate inquiry about his (Jesus) accusers. Jesus's comfort (non-resistance) actually helped trigger Pilate's heart and mind to remain open to Jesus's work for Father God. Keep in mind, Pilate's action was not about agreeing with Jesus's accusers, Pilate's action was political strategy. Pilate even went as far to say that when it came to Jesus's accusers, it wasn't that Jesus work for Father God was wrong, it was about the accuser's self-agenda/interest.
So, I encourage you to not get shaken up when your personal calling (your personal assignment for God) is misunderstood or resisted. One strategy of fighting the good fight of faith is being non-resistant (Jesus used that strategy towards Pilate for Pilate to greater see Jesus's work.) You and your families have a beautiful day! ~ Charles L. Robinson Jr. (Edifying Christian Publications - Consolations LLC.)
