Hello, My ECP Family and whoever else finds this message. Today's biblical thought will be extracted from the Messianic Secret. The Messianic Secret has been on my mind for the past week. The Messianic Secret in general is about silence applied as divine strategy that Jesus himself applied and Jesus asked others to apply to protect greater outcomes. If his deity being the Son of God, the Savior of the World, the Messiah, and his doings (works-deeds) that reflected and proved his deity were spoken not in wise timing in some settings then there would have been a greater potential effect on him not being accepted as the Son of God-Messiah and distractions towards his ministry. Now, don't get me wrong, the purposed silence was only applied temporarily because it was always in the intent to say what needed to be said and acknowledge what has been done or going to be done. In other words, when it was time to talk, there was no holding back- he talked up; when it was time to do, there was no holding back- he done it.
However, the emphasis I would like to express is the "impeccable patience" illustrated in the Messianic Secret. Jesus had impeccable patience and he expected others to apply impeccable patience. Unfortunately, oftentimes the very ones he requested to apply impeccable patience were the very ones that could not hold a secret for one minute (when requested them to not say anything temporarily.) If Jesus (or others) did not have great desire to do or say for specific outcome(s) then there would have been no real temptation to keep the secret because the lack of care for the outcomes. However, being that Jesus (and others) had great desire, great desire greatly tested patience. To hold back and don't say or don't do when you really-really want to say and do to contribute towards great outcome(s) requires impeccable patience.
Today's walk-away: I encourage you to seriously consider this - In evaluating all your goals in life 1) First define clearly your desired outcomes (in the will of God) pertaining to your goals 2) Secondly, after clearly defining your desired outcomes, focus on the process to meet your desired goals applying wisdom (impeccable patience, etc.) for a greater chance to meet your goals which may require silence-slow to speak moments temporarily, and 3) Thirdly, when it's time to talk up and do within the process, don't hold back - talk up and do it. This imitates divine strategy within the Messianic Secret purposed for accomplished God-willed outcomes. You and your families have a beautiful day. God Speed! ~ Charles L. "The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives, and release from darkness for the prisoners" Isaiah 61:1
"The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor" Luke 4:18-19 ( Isaiah 61:1 and Luke 4:18-19 both illustrate Jesus's desired outcomes pointing to his true deity)
"Then he touched their eyes and said, 'According to your faith let it be done to you', and their sight was restored. Jesus warned them sternly, 'See that no one knows about this'. But they went out and spread the news about him all over the region" Matthew 9:29-31 (This illustrates applying temporary silence regarding desired outcomes pointing to his deity. Jesus maintains silence but the inner desire overtakes the silence of others that Jesus requests to be silent.)
"Again, the high priest asked him, "Are you the Messiah, the Son of the Blessed One?' I am, said Jesus, and you will see the Son of Man sitting on the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on clouds of heaven" Matthew 14:61-62 (This illustrates no more silence- no more holding back - talk up and do when it's time to talk up and do it when it's time to do it.)
