Biblical Text: Romans 12:9-21:
Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. (Verse 9) Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; (Verse 10) Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; (Verse 11) Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulations; continuing instant in prayer; (Verse 12) Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality. (Verse 19) Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. (Verse 20) Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. (Verse 21)

Therefore, when understanding the literal definition of dissimulation, the definition is applied to "let love be without" meaning the bible principle speaks of "let love be without dissimulation" (i.e. - understanding the literal definition of dissimulation without the words 'let love be without' applied would alter the authentic biblical principle within the scripture.)
