6/7/26 "Capturing Life's Goodness" #11 ~ Originated by Charles L. Robinson Jr.
Hello, My ECP family and whoever else finds this message. I hope you and your families had a great week and I believe for your transition into even a better upcoming week. Let's start your amazing upcoming week with some encouraging words. If I asked you if you ever been offended in life, everyone would probably answer yes (at least one time in life you have successfully been offended and definitely tempted to be offended.) If I asked you did your experience in the offence stir up inner displeasure or pleasure, most would probably answer being offended felt more displeasing than pleasing. With that being said, today's message should be extremely relatable from the perspective of experiencing offences (improper acts and words) coming at you and you feeling unpleasant due to the improper acts and sayings coming at you. However, there's blessings (goodness) to be captured in the midst of the temptations of being offended from the premise of there should be dominant pleasure when facing offences. Let's get it ECP family; Let's walk in victory; Let's possess dominant goodness in the midst of being tempting in becoming offended.
The one thing about offences is that there's oftentimes way too much focus on the acts or words that tempts the offence which serves as a distraction from the proper response towards the offence. In other words, do you find yourself thinking and responding on what act or saying that improperly came at you that potentially triggers displeasure developing a hardened heart ( Skandolize - entice to sin; apostacy or displeasure; put a stumbling block or impediment in the way upon which another may trip or fall; Skandalon - occasion of stumbling) OR do you spend more time on not allowing the improper act or saying that came at you to not make you stumble in your faith walk which is wellness-preventive care towards progression in your faith walk with God (through Christ Jesus) maintaining a soft heart. Watch this: the trick about being successfully offended is the focus becomes on the act of offence and offender when the focus should be on you and how you properly respond to the offence. Offences will always come at you (scriptural) and God makes it directly clear on how he (God) feels about offences and the offender (scriptural). In the midst of this improper (offences), God wants you to be prepared and developed to not successfully be offended when offences come at you meaning you should not get offended (scriptural.) In not being offended, you remain focused on your personal progression within your faith walk possessing a healthy heart condition while dealing with acts and sayings that could potentially hinder your personal walk with God and not harden your heart(s) towards the temptations and their (the temptations) means-vehicles used to potentially offended you.
Hold onto this ECP family: The focus is not on offences will stop coming because offences will come. The focus is to allow God to show out, God is going to show up, but allow God to show out in your life so you can capture the goodness of inner rest, inner calm, continued focus on your God calling(s), and maintain the proper attitude and heart condition towards improper acts and sayings that come at you(pray for the offender.) TO KNOW WHAT IT FEEL'S LIKE TO SUCCESSFULLY BE OFFENDED (DISPLEASURE) AND EXCHANGE THOSE FEELINGS AND EXPERIENCES TO NOT BEING SUCCESSFULLY OFFENDED (PLEASURE) IS SOME "GOOD STUFF" AND I PRAY THAT YOUR MIND(S), HEART(S), AND SPIRIT(S) ARE SATURATED WITH THE "GOOD STUFF" (PLEASURE.) ~ Charles L.
